D23 2026: Disney's Biggest Fan Bash is Coming – Grab Your Tickets Before the Magic (and the Queue) Vanishes!

Hey fellow Disney obsessives! You know that feeling when the parks are buzzing with new announcements, exclusive merch drops, and that electric “something big is coming” energy? Now imagine all of that crammed into one massive three-day celebration thrown just for us fans. That’s basically D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026 (presented by Visa, because even the Mouse needs sponsors).

Mark your calendars, set those alarms, and maybe stock up on caffeine, because this thing is happening August 14–16, 2026, right in sunny Anaheim, California. The Anaheim Convention Center will host panels, shopping sprees, and immersive experiences that’ll make your inner kid scream with joy. The big fancy showcases head over to the Honda Center, where the real “oohs” and “ahhs” (and occasional happy tears) happen.

Oh, and if you’re in town early, there’s a whole week of fan fun leading up, including D23 Night at the Anaheim Packing District on Tuesday, August 11 — think Disney tunes, trivia, tasty bites, and a fun Y2K throwback vibe. Basically, Disney said “why stop at three days when we can make it a whole vibe?”

So… When Can We Actually Buy Tickets?

Good news: You don’t need to sell a kidney (yet). But tickets are exclusive to D23 Gold Members only. Each Gold Member can snag up to 6 tickets total (that’s one for themselves + up to 5 lucky guests who don’t even need to be members, generous, right?).

Here’s the rollout (all times in ET for easy planning):

  • Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM ET - Charter Members get a fancy 24-hour head start.

  • Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM ET - Priority window for Gold Members on Essential, Choice, or Complete plans.

  • Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM ET - Everyone else (including complimentary Disney+ Gold members) jumps in the virtual queue.

Pro tip: Log in early to D23.com, have your membership number ready, and maybe whisper a little prayer. These things can sell out faster than Dole Whip on a hot day.

Quick Disney+ Perk Note: Also, if you’re a Disney+ subscriber, you can link your account for a free D23 Gold Monthly membership (which still lets you buy tickets). Plus, there’s a limited-time offer right now: upgrade to a paid Gold Essential, Choice, or Complete plan for 20% off until March 30, 2026, via DisneyPlus.com/Perks. That upgrade can bump you into the earlier priority window if you act fast. (If the login page is glitchy, try a different browser or check back, Disney sites love getting overwhelmed during big announcements!)

Ticket Options: From “Broke But Happy” to “Treat Yo’ Self”

Disney made it easier this year with more choices, including a brand-new Afternoon Only option for the Convention Center. Here’s the fun breakdown (prices before fees):

  • D23 Fan Pass (Anaheim Convention Center only — panels, shopping, immersive stuff):

    • Afternoon Only (new this year!): starting at $49

    • Single Day: starting at $99

    • 3-Day: starting at $297

  • D23 Ultimate Fan Pass (adds the Honda Center evening showcases like the Disney Entertainment Showcase, Experiences Showcase, and Legends Ceremony):

    • Starts for as low as \(99 for one day or around \)297 for the full three days (seating in the 200/400 levels).
  • D23 Ultimate Preferred Fan Pass (the “I want the best seat in the house” upgrade):

    • Prime floor seating at the big shows + better shot at snagging those limited-edition pins via the Random Selection Process (RSP).

    • Prices range from about $1,299 to $2,599 depending on your exact seat. Yes, it hurts a little, but imagine the views… and the bragging rights.

(Note: Expect a possible $11.25 service fee per ticket plus a possible $16 delivery fee per transaction.)

What Should You Expect (Besides Pure Chaos and Joy)?

Expect panels galore, the biggest show floor yet, expanded hours, new activations, exclusive merch that’ll make your wallet cry happy tears, and those massive announcements Disney loves dropping on us first. The Disney Legends Ceremony is back to honor the icons, and the evening showcases at the Honda Center are where the real magic (and potential spoilers for future parks/movies) happens.

Basically: If Disney is cooking up something new for the parks, movies, or streaming, you’ll probably hear about it here first, while surrounded by thousands of equally hyped humans in Mickey ears.

Quick Survival Tips for First-Timers (According to my research)

  1. Join or upgrade your D23 Gold membership now (especially if you’re eyeing that Disney+ discount before it ends March 30).

  2. Head to D23.com when the sales open and be ready to move fast.

  3. If you’re thinking about going, book your Anaheim hotel and any Disneyland side quests early, everything fills up quicker than you can say “Hakuna Matata.”

  4. Decide what matters most: Just the convention vibes? The big showcases? Or full VIP treatment? Your budget and hype level will guide you.

I’ve never been to D23 myself and won’t be heading out this year, but I’ll definitely be following along from home like the rest of you. I’ll be chatting about all the big reveals on the Carousel of Conversations Podcast where we drop new episodes every Monday, so make sure to check out carouselpod.com for the latest episodes and all the info.

And hey, if all this D23 talk has you dreaming about your own magical Disney vacation (whether it’s Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or beyond), my team at Carousel of Destinations is here to help. As a Disney travel advisor, I love turning those dreams into stress-free trips. You can fill out a free quote right on my website, no obligation, just good conversation and solid planning tips.

So… are you thinking about going for D23 2026? Would you aim for the cheap afternoon pass and call it a win, or go all-in on the Preferred experience for maximum bragging rights? What’s got you most excited? The park announcements, exclusive pins, or just the idea of soaking in all that Disney energy?

Drop your thoughts (and your stress levels about the ticket sale) in the comments. I’ll be right there with you, refreshing the page from the comfort of home and hoping my virtual mouse-ear game is strong enough.

For the latest official details, head to the D23 site or follow @DisneyD23. This is gonna be one for the books whether you’re heading to Anaheim or living vicariously through the social media posts and podcasts!
